Mönchengladbach/Cincinnati, February 25, 2025: As part of its global expansion, DIAMANT Polymer GmbH acquired DIAMANT Polymers Inc. USA on January 1, 2025. The company, based in Cincinnati (Ohio), manufactures and distributes DIAMANT products for the North American market, but is also expected to expand production of selected products in the future. With the acquisition of DIAMANT Polymers Inc., the German parent company has secured direct access to the US market. DIAMANT Managing Director Carsten Kunde wants to “set new standards and maintain values with our innovative polymer systems not only in Germany, but worldwide. North America is one of the key markets of the future for us.”
The DIAMANT range of high-performance polymer systems are used to seal surfaces, repair defects and support structures. DIAMANT’s products are used in foundries, thermal spray companies and major construction applications. DIAMANT’s products and services help minimize downtime, preserve value and reduce operating costs.
DIAMANT’s US subsidiary focuses on Dichtol and MM1018 – The Liquid-Shim®
The American subsidiary DIAMANT Polymers will focus on the sale of Dichtol. This is a low-viscosity polymer for infiltrating, impregnating and sealing porous layers of additively manufactured components (3D printing) and workpieces. Another mainstay in the USA will be the sale of polymer composite materials for repairing and repairing defects in cast parts and MM1018 – The Liquid-Shim®. The two-component reactive resin system is an innovative solution for force-fit tolerance compensation in steel and bridge construction.
Production of selected products in the USA in the future
According to Carsten Kunde, “in addition to expanding our sales activities, we are also planning to produce more products ourselves in the United States. In my view, sustainable business practices include keeping transportation routes and supply chains as short as possible. That’s why we focus on manufacturing, storing and distributing our high-quality products locally as quickly as possible.” This not only benefits the environment and climate protection, but also the regional economy. In addition, “in this way, we can respond better to local requirements and customer demands.“
