The two YouTubers, Ivan Miranda and Jón Schone, have teamed up to launch a unique project.
Their goal was to repurpose a treadmill into a 3D printer and use it to print a kayak. They unveiled the project at Maker Faire Prague 2025.

The result is impressive, and the printing process went better than either of them expected. Despite a few hurdles, both are certain that a treadmill works well as the basis for a 3D printer! Together, they presented and tested their kayak a few weeks ago at Maker Faire Prague.

Since a kayak like this needs to be waterproof, it was sealed with our dichtol AM UV Protection product. This means it’s not only protected from water but also from UV radiation and other external environmental factors!
Feel free to watch the video to find out what challenges the two had to overcome and what the final result looks like.
